At Feng ChenWang Spring Summer 2023 collection, I had the privilege of curating content for the Instagram account, focusing on the origin story: the Phoenix Motif.

The phoenix, or Feng Huang, holds profound symbolism in Asian culture, representing the harmonious union of yin and yang. Unlike its portrayal in Western mythology as a male symbol, the Chinese Phoenix embodies both male and female qualities, emphasizing balance and duality.

Inspired by this rich cultural narrative, Feng Chen Wang delved deeper into the exploration of gender fluidity and styling within her designs. By incorporating the phoenix motif into her collection, she not only pays homage to tradition but also challenges conventional notions of gender identity and expression.
